Prayer Shawl Ministry

All of the people within our congregations take part in our Prayer Shawl Ministry by knitting or crocheting prayer shawls, or by donating yarn or funds to purchase yarn, and/or by laying hands on the shawls and placing their prayers in them.

The shawls are given to folks who are in need of prayers. People who are grieving, or ill, or find themselves in unfamiliar circumstances–such as moving to an extended care home–have found great comfort in receiving and possessing these prayer filled shawls.

If anyone is interested in creating a prayer shawl, we have pattern books available.
